Dylan Dickson is a performer and Performing Arts Educator.

Specialising in Theatrical Tap, he holds weekly adult classes in Camberwell.

Dylan Dickson has had a successful career, travelling to over 70 countries as a professional performer for various international cruise lines.

After graduating from his studies under Robert Sturrock, Dylan signed his first professional contract with Princess Cruises. He performed for three years with Princess Cruises before signing with ESC Management UK, where he danced with Costa Cruises and Carnival Cruise Lines.

With a strong desire to continue developing his skills, Dylan trained in the United Kingdom between contracts and was later accepted into the renowned Broadway Dance Center Program in New York.

Dylan’s Australian performance credits include working with Jessica Mauboy and Rhonda Burchmore, appearing on Channel Seven’s Australia’s Got Talent and Network Ten’s Everybody Dance Now, and performing at major venues such as the Regent Theatre Melbourne, Crown Casino, Crown Palladium, Grand Hyatt, Eureka Skydeck, and Marvel Stadium. He has also worked with leading entertainment companies and creatives including FX Entertainment, HD Entertainment, Brooks and Baker Entertainment, Fresh Creative Entertainment, Dana Jolly, Robert Sturrock, Todd Patrick, and many more.

Dylan is a passionate performing arts educator with over fifteen years’ experience teaching at some of Melbourne’s most prominent tertiary performing arts institutions, including Patrick School of the Arts, Robert Sturrock’s Industry Dance Company, ShowFit, The Space Dance and Arts Centre, and Associated Studios Australia. Known for his Theatrical Tap Classes and choreography, Dylan’s work is showcased across numerous studios, competitions, and events. He is a proud faculty member and masterclass teacher for the Australian Tap Dance Festival and has also worked extensively as an adjudicator for performing arts competitions across Australia, including the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD), as well as in New Zealand for the Titans of Tap competition.

With a genuine passion for both the performing arts and the next generation of performers, Dylan completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance) and continued his studies with a Master of Teaching (Secondary), specialising in inclusive education, at Deakin University. His professional experience as a performer, combined with his academic studies, allows Dylan to bring a rich, reflective, and informed practice to the performing arts studio. He is now proud to be a VCE Dance, Theatre Studies, and Drama educator.

At the heart of his practice, whether on stage or in the rehearsal studio, Dylan’s practice is grounded in a deep belief in the transformative power of expression, creativity, and performance, fostering growth for both students and audiences.
